Emergency rescue
We answer calls from ordinary people who find an animal in trouble, then get to them as fast as our fuel and vehicles allow.
Nobody was coming for them โ so we did. Strays Home is a volunteer-run stray animal shelter in Islamabad that pulls injured and abandoned dogs and cats off Pakistan's streets, treats them, and stays with them until they're ready for a family of their own.
Every photo is a real animal, a real rescue, and a day somebody chose not to look away.
Hit by cars. Poisoned. Dumped in sacks. Starving through winter. There is no ambulance for them and no hospital that will take them in. There is only whoever decides to stop.

Wound care, surgeries, drips, deworming, vaccinations and long recoveries โ not a bandage and a prayer.
Animals stay with us for as long as they need. Healthy, friendly ones go to screened, permanent families.

Every rescue costs something real: fuel to reach the animal, a vet who will actually operate, antibiotics, drips, food for the weeks of recovery. We have no government funding and no corporate sponsor. What you give is quite literally what we spend.

Absolutely. Message us on WhatsApp or Instagram with your donation reference and we'll share updates and photos of who your money helped. Visits to the sanctuary can be arranged by appointment.
Call our rescue line on +92 311 5395616. Keep the animal calm, don't force food or water, and send us a photo and exact location on WhatsApp if you can. There are first-aid steps here.
Our sanctuary is at Pind Sangrial, Shah Allah Ditta, Islamabad, and we respond to rescue calls across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. We also advise callers elsewhere in Pakistan and help arrange adoptions nationwide where a safe transport plan exists.
You can't save all of them. You can save this one. That has always been enough.
